How to measure yourself
Finding the right size is key to comfort and confidence. Follow this simple guide to measure yourself accurately before purchasing our handloom apparel.
What You'll Need:
✔ A measuring tape
✔ A mirror (for accuracy)
✔ A notepad or phone to record measurements
Step-by-Step Measuring Guide
1. Bust 📏
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and snug but not tight.
2. Waist 🌿
Measure around your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your waist (usually above your belly button). Stand naturally—don’t suck in!
3. Hips 💃
Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping your feet together for accuracy. Ensure the tape is level around your body.
4. Shoulder Width 🧥
Measure from one shoulder edge to the other, across your back. This is crucial for well-fitted tops, dresses, and coats.
5. Sleeve Length 👚
Place the tape at the top of your shoulder and measure down to where you want the sleeve to end. Keep your arm slightly bent for natural movement.
6. Dress Length 👗
Stand straight and measure from the highest point of your shoulder (or collarbone) to your desired hemline (knee, midi, or ankle length).
Helpful Tips for Accurate Measuring:
✔ Keep the tape flat against your body without twisting.
✔ Avoid pulling too tightly—leave slight breathing room.
✔ Measure twice for accuracy.
✔ Wear fitted clothing or undergarments for the best results.

Handloom Apparel Care: "wash, dry, store"
Handloom apparel require the same care as babies do. They thrive on gentle care. To nurture your handloom treasures, care for them with love.
-
Hand Wash Only: Gently wash your handloom apparel in cold water to preserve the fabric's texture and colors.
-
Use Mild Detergents: Choose a mild liquid detergent soap to protect the natural fibers from damage.
-
Wash Individually: Wash garments individually to prevent color bleeding or transfer.
-
Do Not Soak: Avoid leaving the apparel soaked for an extended time, as it can weaken the fibers and affect the colors.
- Do Not Wring: Wringing causes strains on the yarns of the fabric and causes the fabric to lose shape and strength. Please do not wring the apparel.
-
Dry Inside Out: Turn the garment inside out before drying to protect the colors and prints from fading.
-
Dry in Shade: Would you leave your baby under the sun? No right. Fabrics love shade too. Always dry in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight, to maintain the vibrancy of the fabric.
-
Iron with Care: Use a low to medium heat setting when ironing or steaming, and place a cotton cloth between the garment and the iron for added protection if needed.
-
Avoid Machine Washing: Handloom fabrics are delicate; machine washing or tumble drying can lead to shrinkage or damage.
Store with Care:
- Store your handloom apparel in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid hanging heavy garments for long periods to retain their shape.
- Fold your apparel with care and store in breathable bags.
